Police are investigating after a store was robbed at gunpoint in Sydney’s CBD last night.

About 10pm yesterday (Wednesday 6 September 2017), police have been told a man entered a convenience store on Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills.

The man pulled out a firearm, threatened a 24-year-old male staff member and stole cash.

The man was described as aged between 35 and 50, 180-185cm tall with a medium build and a short grey-black beard. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper and black track pants.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
