A man was swiftly arrested just minutes after a robbery at a hotel bottleshop at Port Lincoln.

Just before 11pm on Thursday 7 September, a man allegedly armed with a knife stole cash and a bottle of wine from the drive-thru before leaving on foot.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the robbery.

Police quickly arrived at the scene and searched the area and located the suspect a few minutes later at a nearby hotel and arrested.  The money and wine were recovered.

The 42-year-old man from Port Lincoln has been charged with aggravated robbery and refused bail to appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court later today.
