Police investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a fast food outlet in Clontarf last night have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

Around 10.45pm, a man armed with a knife entered the Oasis Court business and threatened staff members, making demands for cash.

The store manager handed over a sum of cash from one of the registers. After realising a second register was empty, the man fled the store.

No one was physically hurt during the incident.

A white utility was seen driving on Oasis Court at speed without lights on a short time later. It was last seen turning right onto Elizabeth Avenue.

Anyone who may have seen a white utility in the area around the time of the incident or who has any information in relation to the incident is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
