14 October 2017 – Charges Laid – Glassing – Sydney CBD

Two men have been charged after an assault and glassing in the Sydney CBD overnight.

About 3am (Saturday 14 October 2017), police from Sydney City Local Area Command were called to an altercation between two groups at the intersection of Harbour and Goulburn Streets, Sydney.

During the altercation one 26-year-old man was struck with a bottle, causing facial lacerations.

Another 26-year-old man was punched in the face, causing minor injuries. Both were taken to hospital.

Two men aged 22 and 26 years were arrested at the scene and taken to Day Street Police Station.

Both men were later charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 14 October 2017).

Inquiries into the incident continue.
