Investigations are underway following an armed robbery at Glebe this morning.

Police were told a man armed with a knife and what appeared to be a firearm entered a hotel on Bridge Road about 9.45am today (Sunday 22 October 2017).

The man kicked open a door to gain access to the hotel, which was closed at the time.

He approached a cleaner and the manager and threatened them with the knife and the firearm, before demanding cash.

The manager complied with the demand and the man ran from the scene.

Officers from Leichhardt Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Investigators would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man had his face covered, but is described as being 180 to 190cm tall, with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a grey-coloured hooded jacket, baseball cap, long pants and boots.
