Two people have been arrested following an aggravated robbery at Greenacres this morning.
Police were called to a Deli on Manoora Street just before 12pm, Sunday 22 October, after a man armed with an axe threatened staff, before stealing cash and cigarettes. The man and a second suspect ran from the scene before getting in an old white sedan and driving away.
Just before 3pm this afternoon, enquiries lead police from Holden Hill to a home in Kilburn where they arrested a 33-year-old man and 32-year-old woman. The pair were charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
A car believed to have been driven by the suspects was located at the address and has been seized.
