Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at Airds today.
About 7.45am (Sunday 5 November 2017), a man with his face covered and armed with what appeared to be a firearm, approached a 46-year-old woman outside a newsagency on Riverside Drive.
Police were told he forced the woman into the shop.
The man then jumped the counter and demanded cash from the shop keeper, a 54-year-old woman, who was unable to comply with the demand.
The man stole cigarettes and a small amount of coins and was last seen running along Riverside Drive.
Police from Campbelltown Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.
Officers would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as having a thin build, about 175 to 180 cm tall and was last seen wearing black clothing and a balaclava.
