Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a newsagency in Sydney’s south last night.
About 6.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 21 November 2017), police have been told a man armed with a firearm entered a newsagency on Dalley Avenue, Pagewood.
He threatened a male employee with the firearm before punching him in the head.
The man stole cash before fleeing the store with another man towards Dalley Lane.
The employee, a 55-year-old man, was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital, suffering facial injuries.
Police attached to Botany Bay Local Area Command launched an investigation.
Officers wish to speak with two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
One man has been described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, medium build, 170cm tall, aged in his early 20s and wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper and dark long pants.
The second man has been described as having a large build, wearing multi-coloured blue hooded jumper, light-coloured long pants and black sunglasses.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
