Gold Coast police arrested a teenage boy yesterday evening after they disturbed him committing an armed robbery at a convenience store in Burleigh.
Police will allege that around 6.30pm, the boy attended the store on the Gold Coast Highway before threatening the shop assistance with a torch taser and making demands for cash.
At the same time, police attended the store on a routine inquiry and were able to take the boy into custody without further incident.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
A 16-year-old Tallebudgera Valley boy will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
