Melbourne Embona Taskforce detectives charged two men today after a number of convenience stores were allegedly robbed in Melbourne’s CBD last month.

It is alleged the armed robberies occurred at convenience stores in Queen Street on 27 November and Little Bourke Street and Queen Street on 29 November.

A supermarket was also robbed at South Yarra on 4 December.

Cash and cigarettes were stolen.

Two Craigieburn men were both charged with four counts of armed robbery.

A 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were remanded in custody and will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 13 March 2018.
