Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a jewellery store in Chatswood today.
About 10am (Friday 15 December 2017), police were called to Albert Street following reports a man had thrown a sledgehammer at a store’s window.
He stole jewellery and fled in a dark-coloured vehicle on Claude Street.
No one was injured.
Police from North Shore Local Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating.
Officers wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, solid build, between 185cm and 190cm tall, and wearing black pants, a yellow shirt, a hat and black shoes.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
