Investigations are underway following an armed robbery at a bottle shop in Crows Nest last night.

Just before 6.15pm (Monday 8 January 2018), a man armed with a knife entered a bottle shop, on Willoughby Road, Crows Nest, and threatened a female employee.

The 22-year-old woman handed over a sum of cash, before the man fled the scene on foot.

He was last seen heading towards Albany Street.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Officers attached to North Shore Local Area Command were notified and established a crime scene.

The man has been described as being of Caucasian appearance with tanned skin, a heavy build and aged in his 40s.
