Police have charged a man following an armed robbery of a service station at Loganlea overnight.

It will be alleged at 9.09pm a man entered the Loganlea business and threatened the male staff member claiming he had a firearm.

The staff member complied and the man left the business with a sum of cash.

Police attended and located a man matching the description of the offender in a nearby licensed premises.

A 27-year-old Aspley man has been charged with one count of robbery with violence and will appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, January 29.

The staff member was not physically injured during the incident.
