Mackay detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Bridge Road in West Mackay early this morning.

Around 3.50am, a 34-year-old man has just made a transaction at an Automatic Teller Machine and was walking back to his vehicle when he was approached by two men.

One man produced a club and a knife and the other man produced a knife. The men threatened the 34-year-old, demanding the keys to his vehicle and the money he had just withdrawn.

The man complied, and the two offenders fled the scene in the man’s vehicle – a white 2009 Holden Colorado bearing Queensland Registration 857WNF.

The 34-year-old man was not physically injured as a result of the robbery.
