Three people have been charged following an armed robbery at a business in Padstow yesterday.

About 6.20pm (Wednesday 28 February 2018), two males entered a shop on Gibson Avenue and allegedly produced a knife, threatening the operator.

The two fled a short time later with cash and were last seen entering a red vehicle which travelled west on Louie Street.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Police from Bankstown Police Area Command attended and establishing a crime scene.

A short time later officers from the Traffic & Highway Patrol Command observed a red Nissan Navara on Milperra Road at Milperra.

The vehicle was stopped and a teenage male and woman were arrested.

Police will allege that they also located a knife and cash in the vehicle which has been seized for forensic examination.

The 16-year-old boy and 20-year-old woman were taken to Liverpool Police Station.

He was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon and refused bail to appear at a children’s court today (Thursday 1 March 2018).

She was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Monday 12 March 2018.

Another boy, 16, was arrested at a property in Milperra Road, Revesby, and taken to Bankstown Police Station.

He was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and refused bail to appear before a children’s court today.
