Two people have been arrested following an alleged armed robbery in Sydney’s south west yesterday.
About 4pm (Wednesday 7 March 2018), a man attended a supermarket on Cartwright Avenue at Miller and allegedly threatened an attendant with a knife.
The man allegedly demanded money before fleeing with a large sum of cash from the register.
He was seen running from the store with a woman.
Police were alerted and officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and located the pair on nearby Gabo Street.
They allegedly ran from police; however, both were apprehended and placed under arrest.
The 35-year-old woman was taken to Liverpool Police Station where she was charged with assault police and accessory after the fact to robbery whilst armed.
She was given bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Thursday 29 March 2018.
The 34-year-old man was taken to hospital for assessment and is expected to be charged.
