Police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle and subsequent petrol drive-off which took place in Melbourne’s west last month.
An unknown male offender smashed the window of a vehicle in Upton Street, Altona, about 12.55pm time on Thursday, 15 February.
The man stole cash before leaving in a white Ford Falcon Ute being driven by a second man.
The next day, about 3pm, a man driving the same vehicle filled up with petrol at a service station in Napier Street, Footscray, and left without making an attempt to pay.
Police have released images of two men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
