Detectives from Ferny Grove Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating the overnight armed robbery of a Mitchelton hotel.

Around midnight a man entered the Osbourne Road business and demanded money from the duty manager. He fled on foot a soon after with a sum of cash, and was last seen heading north towards Teralba Park.

The man is described as Caucasian, aged in his early 20s, approximately 185cms tall with a slim build, dark hair (cropped haircut). He was wearing blue runners, dark skin tight long pants with a pattern, a long sleeved shirt with dark sleeves and a white vest. The man was carrying a metal bar.

No one was physically injured.
