Police have arrested two youths following a fishy incident in Yarraville this evening.

Two females entered a fish and chip store on Somerville Road about 7pm before allegedly producing a knife and demanding cash.

A passer-by and good sea-maritan, who observed the incident, managed to follow the youths out of the store before alerting Triple Zero to their location.

A police officer who happened to be patrolling nearby caught the pair on Tuppen Street shortly after.

One of the youths was OC sprayed during the arrest.

The pair was reeled back to the police station, where they are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
