Melbourne Embona Taskforce detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Clifton Hill on 17 March.

Investigators have been told a pizza delivery driver was approached by a man and asked for a lift about 3.45am.

Once in the victim’s car, the man produced a metal bar and forced the victim to drive to an address in Spensley Street, Clifton Hill where he stole the victim’s mobile phone, wallet and cash obtained from pizza deliveries.

The 19-year-old victim was not injured during the incident.

The offender is perceived to be in his mid-30s, with short dark-coloured hair and beard and a solid build.

He was wearing a yellow and blue striped shirt and light brown pants.

Police have released images and CCTV footage of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
