Police have released CCTV images of two men who may be able to assist with inquiries into two separate robberies in the Eastern Beaches Police Area Command.
About 8.55am Saturday 17 February 2018, two men entered a newsagency on Clovelly Street, Clovelly. They threatened the female employee and pushed her up against the wall and took cash from the till.
Both men fled the store with cash and cigarettes.
A second robbery occurred at a pharmacy/newsagency on Anzac Parade, Kensington about 8.30am on Thursday 22 February 2018.
Two men entered the business and demanded money from the 27-year-old female employee.
An investigation was commenced, and initial inquiries revealed it was likely someone had been seriously assaulted in the room earlier that morning.
Investigators believe the robberies may be linked.
As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV images of two men, who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The first man depicted is described as being of Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged between 20 and 30, about 175cm tall with a solid build. He has dark eyes and dark hair. He was wearing a hooded jumper.
The second man depicted is also described as being of Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged between 20 and 30, 180cm tall with a medium to solid build. He was also wearing a hooded jacket.
Anyone who recognises any of the people depicted in the CCTV vision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers as soon as possible.
