Police investigating an armed robbery on the Central Coast have released images of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

About 1.30am on Tuesday 13 March 2018, two staff members were inside the closed hotel on Terrigal Drive, Terrigal, when a man with his face covered and armed with a small hammer entered through the rear door.

The man threatened the two male staff members, demanding cash.

He was given an amount of cash before fleeing the scene. He was last seen walking west on Havenview Road.

Detectives from Brisbane Water Police District commenced an investigation into the incident, and have released CCTV images of a man wanted to assist with inquiries.

In the images he is wearing a black face covering, a grey coloured hooded jumper, blue jeans, and dark shoes.
