Police have charged a man following an alleged armed robbery in Sydney’s south-west this morning.

About 9.20am today (Monday 30 April 2018), police will allege a man, armed with a firearm, entered a service station on Lindesay Street, Campbelltown.

He allegedly threatened a female staff member before stealing cash and running from the store.

No one was injured.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Local police, with assistance from Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS), Dog Squad and PolAir, located a man and a foot pursuit was initiated.

A short time later, a 19-year-old man was arrested in the rear of a home on Rudd Street and taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

He was charged with robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon, and refused bail and appeared at Campbelltown Local Court today, where he was refused bail to appear before the same court on Wednesday 27 June 2018.
