An investigation is underway after a man was injured during the armed robbery of a hotel at Enmore overnight.
About 2am (Sunday 6 May 2018), a man gained entry to the hotel on Edgeware Road armed with a machete.
The man – who had his face concealed – confronted a staff member and demanded money, before fleeing with a sum of cash.
The male employee sustained minor injuries and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment.
Officers from Inner West Police Area Command established a crime scene and are conducting a search of the area with assistance from PolAir and the Dog Unit.
Inquiries are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
