Banyule Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released footage as part of their investigation into an armed robbery in Preston last night.

It is alleged four males attended the Victoria Street milk bar and jumped the counter shortly after 9pm.

Staff have fought back and managed to restrain one of males, a 17-year-old boy, until police arrived.

The three other males fled the scene.

Two staff members were injured – a 54-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening facial injuries and a 31-year-old man was treated at the scene for minor facial injuries.

The Reservoir teenager has been charged with armed robbery, intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, and unlawful assault.

He will appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Investigators have today released CCTV and images of three males who may be able to assist police with their enquiries.
