A man will face court today after the alleged armed robbery of a service station at Moorebank overnight.

Just after 11pm (Sunday 17 June 2018), a man entered a service station on Newbridge Road where he became involved in an argument with the console operator about not paying for some items.

The man walked to a display shelf and grabbed a pair of scissors and threatened the attendant before demanding he hand over money.

The attendant was unable to open the till and was again threatened to hand over his wallet and phone.

The man took money from the attendant’s wallet before leaving the store, driving away in a red Ford hatchback.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

About 3.30 am today (Monday 18 June 2018), police stopped a man on George Street, Liverpool and arrested him.

He was charged with robbery with an offensive implement (property from two owners) and possess property stolen outside the state.

He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (18 June 2018).
