Police arrested a woman yesterday morning following recent incidents in Benalla and Hoppers Crossing.

Investigators from the Altona North Embona Armed Robbery Taskforce, with the assistance of the Wodonga Criminal Investigation Unit, arrested the woman at an address in Herne Hill.

She was wanted in relation to a number of outstanding warrants.

The 30-year-old was charged in relation to the following alleged incidents:

– Theft of motor vehicle and assault in Benalla on 6 July

– Armed robbery in Hoppers Crossing on 3 August

She was also charged with prohibited person possess firearm and possess a drug of dependence.

The woman was remanded in custody and will face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
