Police are investigating a robbery at a jewellery store in Maribyrnong last week.

It is believed a male offender attended the Rosamond Road store about 2.30pm on 17 October.

He jumped the counter, smashed a display cabinet and scooped jewellery into a bag.

The man pushed a female staff member on his way out of the store and fled in a white 1997 Honda Accord with more than $100,000 worth of items.

The car has since been recovered.

The 82-year-old victim was taken to hospital for observation.

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and have released CCTV of a man who may be able to assist police with their enquiries.
