Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Flemington in September.

Investigators have been told a man armed with a machete entered a fast food store on Epsom Road and produced a machete about 6.45pm on 7 September.

The offender threatened staff and demanded cash from the til.

The offender used the machete to damage the till.

The man left the store and walked in an unknown direction

There were a number of customers inside the store at the time and they, along with staff were physically unharmed.

The man was wearing dark colour jeans and a black hooded jumper with a white pattern on the hood.

He is perceived Caucasian in appearance and about 185cm with a medium build. His face was partially covered.

Detectives have released images and CCTV of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

An image of the track top worn by the offender at the time has also been released.
