A man will appear in court today following an alleged armed robbery in Sydney’s west this morning.
About 2.40am (Wednesday 12 December 2018), a man entered a service station on Wentworth Avenue, Pendle Hill, and allegedly threatened the console operator with pliers.
The man stole cash and cigarettes, before he fled the scene. The staff member was not injured.
Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command and the Dog Squad attended and following inquiries, arrested a 24-year-old man nearby.
He was taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon.
The man was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 12 December 2018).
