Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following an alleged armed robbery at a Blackburn post office last month.

The 26-year-old Knoxfield man was arrested on Monday and charged with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, theft of motor vehicle, threats to kill and assault with a weapon.

He faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear again on 23 April.

The charges follow an incident at a post office on Chapel Street, Blackburn on 24 December.
