Police are appealing for public assistance after an armed robbery at a service station in the state’s west today.

About 1.40pm (Saturday 26 January 2019), two males entered a service station on Beryl Street, Broken Hill, and approached the attendant, a 24-year-old man.

Police have been told one of the males threatened the attendant with a knife before stealing cash and leaving on a bicycle.

The second male left the store on foot.

The attendant was not injured during the incident.

Officers from Barrier Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.

Detectives would like to speak to two males who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his 20s, about 180cm tall, and of slim build.

The second male is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 130cm tall, of slim build and believed be about 10-years-old.
