July 22, 2011 – Glassing – Nightclub – Surfers Paradise

A 20-year-old man from Southport will face Southport Magistrates Court today charged in relation to an alleged glassing incident in Surfers Paradise in the early hours of this morning.

It is alleged around 4, a 26-year-old man was struck with a glass in an Orchid Avenue nightclub causing a deep laceration across the right side of his face.

A second man aged 23 years-old was also allegedly injured by flying shards of glass.

The man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and wounding.
