Three people have been arrested after allegedly stealing groceries and threatening staff at at northern suburbs supermarket last night.

Police were called to a supermarket car park on Finnis Street, Blakeview about 7.45pm on Monday 4 March by reports that three people had loaded two trolleys with groceries and were attempting to leave without paying.

When confronted, they allegedly threatened staff with a taser and took off in a vehicle.  Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.

Police spoke to a number of witnesses at the scene and following investigations Northern District CIB detectives arrested three suspects at an Andrews Farm address just before 10pm.

A 35-year-old man and 18-year-old woman, both from Andrews Farm, and a 15-year-old Gilles Plains boy were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

The woman and boy were refused police bail and expected to face court at Elizabeth today.  The man was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 27 March.
