July 25, 2011 – Armed Robbery – Local Business – Milton

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Milton this evening.
Shortly before 7 a man entered the Douglas Street business and approached a male employee at the front counter.
The man produced a weapon, believed to be a firearm, and threatened the employee while demanding cash.
The man fled the store on foot with a sum of money.
He was last seen running down Douglas Street towards Kilroe Street.
The man is described as aged in his 20’s, around 192cm tall with a slim build and light brown hair. He was wearing a white jumper, sunglasses, a baseball cap and a black backpack.
Investigations are continuing.
