December 4, 2011 – Update – Operation Unite – Alcohol Crackdown

 Police will adopt a no tolerance approach to drunken violence and anti-social behaviour during this weekend’s Operation Unite.

 Police will target entertainment precincts to send a clear message that alcohol-related violence, crime and drunken behaviour will not be tolerated.

 Below are the state wide results of Operation Unite from 6.00pm Saturday 3 December until 

6.00am Sunday 4 December, 2011.

Total of 542 people charged with 610 offences.

9 x Assault charges

4 x Assault a Public Officer

93 x Disorderly Behaviour

16 x Possess Prohibited Drug

21 x DUI

65 x Excess 0.05%

107 x Excess 0.08%

97 x Other traffic offences

185 x Liquor Infringements issued

362 x Traffic Infringements issued

8148 Roadside Breath Tests conducted

247 x Move On Notices issued
