Police are investigating the armed robbery of a business at Burleigh Heads this afternoon.

Around 5:15pm two men entered the Kortum Drive retail store before producing a note to the female shop attendant.

The note included a demand to hand over cash and a threat that the men were armed with a firearm.

The attendant complied with the demand and the men left the store with a sum of cash.

The first man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid 30s, approximately 185cm tall with a slim build. He was wearing a grey singlet, blue denim shorts and a black baseball cap and wasn’t wearing any footwear.

The second man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid 40s with a proportionate build. He was wearing a yellow and blue tradesman shirt, blue shorts and running shoes.

No one was physically injured during the incident.
