Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this afternoon in Holland Park.

Just before 2pm, a man has entered a Seville Road grocery store and selected a number of items which he left on the counter before leaving the premises.

He then returned minutes later with a syringe and demanded money from the store attendant.

The attendant complied and the man fled the store with a sum of cash in an unknown direction.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The man is being described as Caucasian in appearance, of a proportionate build, around 178cms tall and has long grey hair which was combed back on his head.

He was last seen wearing metal rimmed glasses, dark coloured business trousers and a white and blue checkered business shirt.
