Pine Rivers police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight in Lawnton.

Around 9.30pm, a man has walked into a drive through bottle shop on Gympie road and taken a carton of beer out of a fridge.

When questioned by the attendant, the man has smashed the carton on the ground and threatened the attendant with a bottle.

The man has then taken another case of beer from the fridge and left the scene on foot.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The man is being described as being around 170cms tall, in his 20s and is of a slim build with blond hair.

He was last seen wearing a light grey hooded jumper with a scarf or a bandana pulled over his face.

Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
