A man has had a schooner glass broken over his head, following an altercation at licensed premises in Gulgong.

About 10:30pm, Wednesday 23 May 2012, two men were involved in a verbal argument around a pool table which escalated into a physical fight.

A 42-year-old man sustained a laceration to his head and hand and suffered a concussion while a 25-year-old man also sustained minor lacerations and a concussion.

Both parties received treatment at the scene before being transported to Mudgee District Hospital.

A crime scene was established and investigated by specialist forensic officers.  Further investigations will be conducted by Mudgee Detectives.
