Police are investigating the armed robbery of a takeaway pizza store in Sunnybank last night.

Just before 10.30pm a man has entered the Beenleigh Road shop. He waited until a customer left the store before producing what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash from the store attendants.

The attendants complied and the man left the store with a sum of money.

He was last seen running towards the carpark on Wynne Street.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as around 170cm tall, and was wearing a black hooded jumper, gloves and a cloth covering his face. He was carrying a black back pack.

Investigations are continuing.
