Police have charged three males after the armed robbery of a convenience store in Andergrove this afternoon.

It will be alleged that two men entered the Emperor Drive store at around 2pm, armed with a knife.

They allegedly demanded cash from the female employee who complied, before the men fled the scene in a car. It is alleged another man was driving the vehicle.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police located the people in a car on Sugarshed Road a short time later.

A 17-year-old East Mackay man and a 17-year-old West Mackay man have each been charged with one count of armed robbery, and are due to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A 16-year-old boy has also been charged with one count of armed robbery, and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
