Police are seeking public assistance following an armed robbery at a post office in Highton South this morning.
Geelong detectives have been told that a man entered the post office in Porter Street at 9.44am and approached the counter, where he demanded money from the male attendant.
The man told the attendant that he had a firearm.
The attendant didn’t see a firearm but handed over an amount of cash which the man placed into a bag he was carrying.
The man then fled from the post office and was last seen running east in Porter Street
The offender is described as being aged in his mid 30’s, Caucasian and approximately 178 to 188cms tall, medium to solid build, dark hair and unshaven face.
No one was injured during the armed robbery.
