Investigations are continuing following the armed robbery of a service station in Sydney’s south on Friday
About 7.20pm (1 June 2012), a man walked into the service station on the Princes Highway, Arncliffe, and threatened a 26-year-old male staff member with a firearm, demanding cash.
A 57-year-old male customer was also threatened by the man, who had his face concealed with black cloth.
The staff member handed over a sum of cash before the armed man ran from the service station.
He was last seen heading up a set of stairs from the Princes Highway towards Ajax Reserve.
Police were notified and officers attached to St George Local Area Command are investigating the incident.
The man has been described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, approximately 175-180cm tall, aged in his early 20s, and was wearing a black ‘Adidas’ brand hooded jumper and grey tracksuit pants at the time.
