Holden Hill Detectives have arrested a man allegedly responsible for an aggravated robbery at a chemist at Hope Valley last Thursday.

At about 9.20am, a man carrying a metal pole, threatened staff at the chemist and stolen the till.

Staff from the chemist followed the man on foot for a short time after he left the premises.

Police patrols searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Police arrested the man yesterday at an address at Elizabeth.

The 38-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.
