Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a market at Sefton yesterday.

About 2.45pm, (Thursday 22 November, 2012), two men armed with knives entered the store on Helen Street, armed with knives.

The men threatened the 19-year-old female cashier and demanded money.

They took cash from the till before fleeing the premises.

Police from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit.

The first man has been described as 180cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a white hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants, gloves and a red bandana covering his face.

The second man has been described as 165cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black jumper, grey pants and gloves.

No-one was injured during the incident.
