Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information regarding an attempted armed robbery in Bayswater on Thursday 15 November 2012.

About 2pm, a man entered the Bendigo Bank located on King William Street Bayswater and waited to be served by the teller.

When he was served, he handed the teller a note demanding money and stating he was armed.

The teller was able to activate an alarm and the offender ran from the bank and was last seen heading south west on Murray Street.

The offender is described as being between 25 and 35 years of age, fair skinned with freckles, of slim build with short sandy blonde hair. He has an Australian accent.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants and a brown baseball cap with a circular red and white motif on the front. He was carrying a dark backpack at the time of the incident.
