Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Redbank Plains this morning.

Around 1.50am two men armed with a hammer and a knife entered a convenience store on Redbank Plains Road.

They threatened the male attendant and demanded cash.

One of the men forced a male customer to the ground during the incident.

Both men fled the scene with a sum of cash and were last seen heading east. The customer also fled the scene in a separate direction.

The men are both described as being of a solid build, with olive skin, and around 178-180cm tall.

Police would like to speak with the customer, or anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area around the time of the offence.

Investigations are continuing.
