Police are investigating a hold up at a Kilkenny service station overnight and would like to speak to a customer who was in the service station at the time of the robbery.

At about 1.45am, a man entered the BP on the Run on David Terrace brandishing a syringe.  He demanded money from the cash register before leaving on foot towards Harvey Street.  No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a man of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, wearing a white baseball cap, sunglasses, jeans and a black hooded top with distinctive circular badging on the front and ‘EVEL’ in white on the left sleeve.

At the time of the robbery a male customer was inside the service station using the ATM.  Police do not believe he is connected to the incident and would like him to come forward and provide details.
