Police investigating an overnight robbery in Sydney’s south west have released security footage of a person who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

About 3.20am (Monday 17 December 2012), a man entered a service station on Canterbury Road, Belmore.

The man, armed with a knife, threatened the 24-year-old male attendant and demanded money. The employee complied by opening the register and the man took a quantity of cash.

The man was last seen running south towards Allegra Avenue.

The attendant was not physically injured during the incident.

Officers attached to Campsie Local Area Command arrived a short time later, and a crime scene was established.

Police have released CCTV images of a person they would like to speak to in relation to the matter.

The person depicted in the images is described as a male with an average build and about 175cm tall.

He is shown wearing a black hooded jumper, grey track pants and white shoes.
